Big steps of the Farm's history
Michel Couderc takes over his father's farm as a milk producer, and starts with his wife, Christine, the conversion into organic farming (AB).
The farm, whose activities are interrupted since 1971, then has 20 hectares and includes a milking parlor.

Start of production of vegetables
A production of vegetables in open field is started, it is mainly marketed in the market of Bergerac. An orchard of apple trees is also planted.
From milk to dairy products
In order to increase income, part of the milk production begins to be transformed into yogurt and cheese, the remainder still being sold to the cooperative.
First apple harvest
The apple trees planted five years earlier are starting to bear fruit.
End of milk production
Dairy production is stopped, conversion to veal meat production.
Purchase of land
10 hectares of UAA (Useful Agricultural Area) are purchased.
Beginning of juice production
In addition to direct sales, some apples are also valued in juice and cider.
Beginning of production of pigs
The farm is diversifying again with the purchase of 20 pigs. An artificial lake of 10 000 m³ is dug in order to have a water resource to water the animals and irrigate some plots.
Construction of the meat-cutting building
A DSV (Veterinary Services Department) approved cutting room is built to cut meat on site. A bread oven is also built that same year.
Construction of the free stall
A free stall on straw with headlocks is built. It can house more than 50 cows with their calves.
End of bread production
The production of bread is stopped because it is too restrictive. Today the flour is still produced and sold on the market. 7 hectares are added to the UAA.
Enlargement of the free stall
The number of headlocks is increased to 65.
Acquisition of land
17 hectares of land are bought in the commune of Sᵗ Cernin de Labarde (3.5 km from the farm), the lot also includes a small stable.
Creation of the GAEC
At the integration of Adrien, the third child of Christine and Michel, in the Farm, the latter changes its legal status and becomes a GAEC Managed equally by Michel (60 ), Christine (59 ) and Adrien (32).
Acquisitions and Improvements
Following a few purchases, the farm now comprises 72 hectares of UAA. The housing dating from 2002 is enlarged again bringing to 83 the number of headlocks.30) Adrien's wife becomes a member of the GAEC
Construction of a sorghum silo
An anaerobic silo for the storage of wet sorghum is constructed. This will store fresh sorghum during the winter months to ensure a rich diet of vitamins to the animals even during the winter.
